Flagler County Chamber of Commerce Reports that Someone is Falsely Using Their Name to Solicit Ads

Beware of deceptive sales tactics.

March 21, 2008 – Palm Coast, Florida – The following email was sent by the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce to its members today. It is reproduced here as a public service to help get the word out to everyone. Please help pass it on.

"Be Aware of False Information. Chamber Map Sales Have Not Yet Begun"

"The Chamber has been informed of a sales force in our community who is falsely using the Chamber’s name to sell advertising for a Flagler County map. Premier Maps is not a Chamber company. One method of sales for these false representatives is to fax previous advertisers their Chamber map ad and request their renewal. This is NOT a Chamber request – please immediately report any questionable actions to us at 437-0106."

"The Chamber has been issuing its own county map for more than 10 years and will be doing the same again this year. Please be aware of whom you are purchasing ads from and call the Chamber to verify any information you receive that may be in question."

"The Chamber’s own sales team will be kicking off ad sales for the 2008 map within the next two weeks. Please feel free to call the Chamber to confirm you are, in fact, speaking with a Chamber representative. We want to ensure you are dealing with our reputable sales team and we are happy to help in any way we can."

"The Chamber is excited to introduce Brian Furber as its new Sales Manager. Our sales team representatives are: Alice Gipson, Jack Griffith, Ken Dunlop, Collette Taylor and Felicia Magnuson."
