A Visit to the Ginn Company’s Ginn Sur Mer, the largest resort community project ever to be undertaken in The Bahamas.

Ginn’s world extends beyond Flagler County

GoToby.com: Ginn's Sur Mer in the BahamasFebruary 13, 2007 – Last week, I had an opportunity to visit Bobby Ginn’s most ambitious project, Ginn Sur Mer, in The Bahamas. It’s still mostly piles of dirt and rock slightly above sea level, but the 2500 acre property Bobby Ginn bought on the “West End” of Grand Bahama Island could not be better located. Ginn Sur Mer is 55 miles east of West Palm Beach, 18 minutes by plane and 2 hours by boat. Freeport is a 30 minute drive. The location has the western most access to Bahamian Customs for boat or private plane arrivals. On the site is a private pre-existing air strip with a 6,000 ft runway, long enough for the largest private jet. The marina side of the island fronts 400 ft deep water, literally a few hundred yards off shore. The other side of the island offers shoals and reefs perfect for bone fishing and snorkeling.

Here are some of the highlights of the planned resort complex:

• A Mega-yacht Marina with approximately 900 Slips
• Private Airport with 6,000 ft runway
• Monte Carlo-style Casino
• Grand Canal throughout Property w/water taxi service
• Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Courses
• Beach Clubs
• Island Spa
• World Class Shopping
• Fine and Casual Dining
• Amenity Core with French and Mediterranean Architecture
• Six Miles of Oceanfront
• Bungalows, Single Family Homes, and Condominiums (over 6000 residential units)

GoToby.com: Casino Hotel at Ginn's Sur Mer in the BahamasGinn is currently offering golf homesites from $600,900 – $680,000. Deep water access canal lots are available from $850,000 – $980,000. Oceanfront lots run between $1.3 million and $1.475 million. The sales effort is in full gear and many properties have already been snatched up.

Site development work began in the spring of 2006 and will continue for at least another couple of years. The rock and dirt alone are not impressive, but the shear magnitude of the project and the spectacular site and views can be appreciated only by an on-site inspection. During our drive through the site, we were stopped by construction engineers so they could set off a multi-thousand pound series of explosives used to break up the rock where the main canal is being excavated.

What makes this site on Grand Bahama Island so unique?

• Freeport has a very deep water port for delivery of construction equipment and materials, reducing the owners cost of construction.
• Grand Bahama Island has a fresh water supply capable of serving 250,000 residents. There are currently only 65,000 people on the island.
• The infrastructure on Grand Bahama Island is better than some U.S. cities.
• Grand Bahama Island’s new $50 million dollar airport offers an 11,000 ft runway and direct flights from most major airports on the East Coast.

GoToby.com: Marina Hotel at Ginn's Sur Mer in the BahamasIf you are financially qualified and seriously considering an investment, getaway, or permanent home in the Bahamas, I encourage you to sample the Ginn experience. Enjoy the famous amenity rich Ginn environment at the Hammock Beach Club in Palm Coast. Then depart from Palm Coast on one of the fleet of Ginn airplanes at Flagler County Airport on a guided tour of the Ginn Sur Mer property. Mine was a one-day visit, but arrangements can be made for a one or two-night stay on the island close to the development. Then you can experience the beautiful sunsets and sunrises. .

If you would like more information on this opportunity, indicate your desire by contacting me <click here>. I’ll make sure you are assigned to a knowledgeable and attentive Ginn staff member hand selected by me. Be sure to include all contact information and mention Sur Mer in the comments field.

If you are a serious investor, golfer, boater or saltwater fisherman, this is a must see.

    Land Fraud In West End

Mr. Ginn along with the Sammons Organization has frauded the people of West End out of their birthright. This project will never get completed. The FNM government is concerned that the project does not fit well with the island and will see to it that it never comes to full completion.
