Woman Accused in Florida Murder Not a Realtor®

Realtor® is not synonymous real estate agent.

Palm Coast, FL – July 23, 2009 – Several news outlets have and continue to incorrectly report that a women arrested in connection with the high-profile murder of a Florida Panhandle couple is a Realtor®. She is not. 
The following is a statement by the National Association of Realtors®:
Many news outlets are erroneously reporting that Pamela Long Wiggins, charged July 16th for murder in Florida, is a Realtor®.
The National Association of Realtors® can confirm that she is not a Realtor®, which is a protected trademark of the National Association of Realtors®, and is not synonymous with “real estate agent.”
It is unknown whether Wiggins holds a Florida real estate license.

    Thank God, this is one group that can’t afford anymore bad press, like used car salesmen, lawyers, Wall Street Bankers and mortgage brokers
