Why People Move to Hammock Dunes in Palm Coast
Hammock Dunes Owners’ Association survey of owners highlights reasons residents chose Hammock Dunes.
Palm Coast, FL – June 13, 2013 – The Hammock Dunes Owners’ Association has published to its members the results of a survey focusing on the reasons residents selected Hammock Dunes. Among all residents, the reasons were:
- Gated Community – 81%
- Hammock Dunes Club – 67%
- Ocean Access – 56%
- Direct Ocean Frontage – 53%
- Property price to value – 39%
Of residents who moved to Hammock Dunes from another Florida location, the percentages varied slightly:
- Gated Community – 78%
- Direct Ocean frontage – 58%
- Hammock Dunes Club – 58%
- Ocean Access – 50%
- Property price to value – 39%
Not surprising, a walk on the beach is the number one activity of visitors to Flagler County according to a recent survey conducted for the Flagler Tourism Development Board. 86% of visitors from other parts of Florida cited a walk on the beach compared to 91% of out of state visitors. The other top Flagler County visitor activities included visiting St. Augustine, Daytona Beach events and activities, visiting family and friends and playing golf.
Hammock Dunes is a private, gated residential community on the Atlantic Ocean near Palm Coast in Flagler County. Palm Coast sits halfway between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. Hammock Dunes offers both single family homes and condominiums. Its Club sports fine dining, tennis, croquet and two fine golf courses. The Island Estates community within Hammock Dunes sits on an Island and offers direct frontage on the Intracoastal Waterway.
Of 52 Hammock Dunes homes listed through MLS, eight are available for less than $400,000. Thirteen are offered for more than $1,000,000. Of 54 condos offered, ten are offered for less than $400,000. Thirteen are offered for more than $1,000,000.
