Publix Opened Its New Flagler Beach Store Today

Beach Village shoppers overflowed the plaza parking lot

flagler county publix grand opening from GoToby.comPalm Coast, Florida – May 30, 2009 – The day started early at Publix’s new Beach Village grocery store and pharmacy. Several Flagler Beach officials and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce were there for the 7:45 A.M. ribbon cutting. When the doors opened, I and several shoppers entered the new store. There was a nice crowd, but not impressively large. However, when I returned at 11:30 to actually shop, I could not find a parking place – three turns around the lot, then parked at the side of the building. The lot and store were packed. Certainly, shoppers’ response satisfied the Publix folks and indicate the pent up demand in that part of the county.

    Opening of Publix

We stopped around 8:30am. Not over crowded, but full. Great service support at the front and on every aisle. Lots of "tasting" things. Nice sale items. This is the best "store" opening I have been to in any/all of the many states I have lived in. Very customer pro-active.
