Palm Coast Ranks Ninth On another Good List: Economic Growth Forecast

A WSJ article published yesterday reported that a study by economists at HIS Global Insight forecast metro areas growing faster than non-metro areas. Palm Coast ranked ninth among the Urban Winners.

Palm Coast, FL – June 23, 2014 – Palm Coast was named ninth among 21 metro areas forecast to grow at a rate above 4% through 2020. A WSJ article published yesterday reported that a study by economists at HIS Global Insight forecast metro areas growing faster than non-metro areas. Most of the winners were in the South and West. The biggest loser  will be in upstate New York (bottom three metros). The study was released by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

Of the 21 growth-leading metro regions, six are in Texas and four in Florida. One other Florida metro made the top-ten list; Naples-Marco Island came in fifth.

Ironically, Palm Coast ranked ninth in another important list published by the National Association of Home Builders in March. That study ranked metros by their homeownership rate.
