New Palm Coast Stores, Restaurants and an Update of Past Rumors

Loads of new stores and restaurants in Town Center near the SuperTarget.

September 21, 2007 – Palm Coast, Florida – Only a few weeks ago, I wrote about some exciting progress at Town Center. It looks like this will be a year of very visible progress. If you’ve driven past the SuperTarget construction site, you can see that they appear to be “on Target” for their March ’08 opening.

The Target anchored “perimeter retail” development will be known as Palm Coast Landings. In addition to Target, it will consist of multiple buildings to the east and on a frontage road parallel to SR100. Weingarten Realty Investors is the developer. Stores already announced for Palm Coast Landings are, PetsMart, Linens ‘n Things, TJ Max, Michaels, and Ross .

I’m told new commitments have been made by the following:

  • Famous Footwear
  • Payless Shoes
  • Kirkland’s
  • Game Spot
  • Lane Bryant
  • Kay Jewelers
  • Subway
  • Panda Express
  • First Community Credit Union
  • Cold Stone Creamery
  • The Vitamin Shoppe
  • McDonalds
  • Ruby Tuesday

The Epic Theater has submitted plans for a multiplex theater with adjoining retail space. The theater will be located in the urban core district of Town Center.

To update a few past rumors:

  • Carrabba’s has chosen not to go ahead with the Fairfield Inn site. This doesn’t mean that we are not going to have a Carrabba’s. It just means that it won’t be at Fairfield Inn.
  • Talbots was once rumored to be in discussion with CBL about a Cobblestone Village location. They have opted out and have no current plans for a Palm Coast store.
  • The Disney and Donald Trump rumors are probably not true either.

    TGI Friday’s

Yes I would like to have this restaurant in Palm Coast. The one that I knew in St. Augustine closed due to a fire and I don’t see any other nearby.

As far as I know, none of these are committed to come to Palm Coast. I understand that Panera Bread was once interested in Cobblestone Village, but backed off.
