The rumor mill tells me that Darden Restaurants is looking at a location near the SuperTarget for an Olive Garden.
Palm Coast, Florida – May 1, 2009 – Rumor: A previously reliable source tells me that Darden Restaurants is close to a deal that will put an Olive Garden in Palm Coast, FL. The location is in Town Center, near the SuperTarget. Orlando-based Darden operates restaurants under the following brands:

If true, this will be the first Olive Garden for Flagler County. The closest current Olive Gardens are in Orange City, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, and two in Jacksonville.

When Flagler County and Palm Coast area get a Flemings or Bone Fish Grill, then I’ll start eating out again.
New Restuants
Flemmings was a great steakhouse when Paul owned it. When he sold it to OB, he opened PF Changs. Flemmings in my opinion has gone down hill since and I would rate it much lower than Ruth Chris

This is good news for everything except my diet. However, we have been hearing the Olive Garden rumor for years. The original location mentioned was corner of OKR and OCP. It remains to be seen, in the current economic situation, whether or not it will be built.

I just don’t want to see the small mom and pop operations that have struggled through all this be brought down! There are some great little restaurants out there that we must not forget about!

All you can eat bread sticks and salad and great food. Olive Garden would be a great addition to the dining out experience to Palm Coast.
Rumors are true
Olive Garden and Red Lobster are coming to Town Center and soon. I am a subcontractor bidding on this project with a company out of Atlanta and construction is going to start sometime in April or May.
