Is The Walt Disney Company coming to our area?
Disney may be coming to St. John’s County, just north of US 1
December 7, 2006 – Almost three years ago I heard that a major theme park company had locked up much of the triangle of land bounded by Interstate 95, SR 206, and US 1 in southern St. John’s County. At that time, the theme part operator was Six Flags. The rumor died out.
Now the story has resurfaced with a new player, The Walt Disney Company. My source, someone active in Flagler County commercial real estate, says he heard this latest from more than one highly placed individual. If this happens, the effect on the Flagler market would be profound.

We are hoping Disney is serious about building in St John’s County. Ideal location with Route 1 and I 95 access.

Let’s hope this rumor is more than just that. This would be a HUGE lift to the Palm Coast economy…I could then sell my home with record profits and move to the peace and tranquility of the North Carolina Mountains.

Manipulating the market
Then again this could just be a crude attempt to reignite the specululation frenzy.
Time will tell, if there is substance to this rumor, it sure would kick the Real-Estate market back into high gear.

Why would Disney build there? It would cut off the traffic heading to Orlando. If they build anywhere it should be in South Florida.
