Interior Design Tips from Rita Williams

Learn the latest trends and tips on interior furnishings and designs at beach and boating community, Sunset Inlet, August 24th.

Palm Coast, FL – August 16, 2013 – Interior designer Rita Williams will present the latest trends and tips on interior furnishings and designs in a special presentation at Sunset Inlet, the new beach and boating community at Beverly Beach, just north of Flagler Beach on A1A.  The event is being presented by Grand Haven Realty and Emerald Homes on Saturday, August 24 from 10am to 11:30am and is open to the public.

Williams, owner of Merchandising Plus located in Jacksonville, and her team recently completed the interior design and merchandising for the new Windward model home at Sunset Inlet. She will be sharing insights into the interior design process and demonstrating the latest trends behind the selections for the materials, colors, finishes and furnishing used in decorating the Windward Model.

“We are excited to bring our exclusive Day with the Designer program to Sunset Inlet and the beautiful new Windward model is a great place to stage the event,” said Williams.  “Our schedule only allows a few of these sessions a year and this will be the first opportunity for people in Flagler County to attend this fun and informative program on interior design.”
 
The event will begin with a presentation by Williams in the second floor of the new Waypointe home now completing construction by Emerald Homes, the exclusive builder/developer at Sunset Inlet.  She will share photographs providing examples and insights into the latest trends in color selection and furnishings in the new home industry.  Williams will then lead participants on a tour of the three-story Windward model where they will see these trends in use and learn the strategy behind the selections used in the model.  Light refreshments will be served to participants.

Rita Williams is a professional interior merchandiser with over 30 years experience in decorating model homes and lodging properties throughout the U.S.  Her merchandising and interior designs have won numerous industry awards including top honors from the Laurel Awards, Excel Awards, Aurora Awards and the NAHB’s prestigious Nationals Sales and Marketing Awards.  She is a life-member of the Northeast Florida Builders Association and a member of the National Association of Home Builders.  In 2004 she was inducted into the Florida Housing Hall of Fame.

Sunset Inlet is a community of 31 homes located on A1A approximately two and a half miles north of Highway 100.  Homes are available from the mid $300s to $500s. Each home includes a dedicated boat slip in the protected inlet with direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW.) The community also has beach access across A1A.
