Clemson University Rowing Team Practicing on the ICW in Palm Coast
Palm Coast attracting more collegiate rowing teams to winter practice on its Intracoastal Waterway Venue. Syracuse has been coming for years and was joined by three or four more schools this year.
Palm Coast, FL – March 14, 2015 – The Clemson University rowing team has been spotted over the past few days practicing on the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Coast. Syracuse University has been coming here for at least three years, usually around the second week in January. They were followed by at least three more schools this year, leading GoToby.com to think that Palm Coast is catching on as a great winter training venue for northern schools.
The following video was captured today from the Tidelands Condominiums. That’s Harbor Village Marina/ Yacht Harbor across the ICW. When I moved to Tidelands four years ago, there was only one house on the section directly opposite our unit. Including those under construction, the count is up to eight.
Boat House Row
Love to see a row of classic boat houses built to represent each of the fine schools that support their crews and sport. A row of beautiful boat houses similar to those residing along the banks of the Schuykill River in Philadelphia would project a presence of class and style to Palm Coast along the ICW.
