City of Palm Coast to Begin Palm Coast Parkway Widening Project

Be on the lookout for construction work starting Monday, March 3. The project limits are Palm Coast Parkway between Florida Park Drive and Cypress Point Parkway, a distance of approximately 1.2 miles.

Palm Coast, FL – February 25, 2014 – The City of Palm Coast is advising users of Palm Coast Parkway to be on the lookout for construction work starting Monday, March 3. The project limits are Palm Coast Parkway between Florida Park Drive and Cypress Point Parkway, a distance of approximately 1.2 miles.

The scheduled work by P&S Paving includes widening Palm Coast Parkway, from a four-lane roadway to six lanes. Eight-foot pedestrian walkways will be added on both sides of the street across the entire extension, along with new turn lanes at Cypress Point Parkway, 458 trees and a landscape irrigation system utilizing reclaimed water. The total contract amount is $10.5 million. Contract calendar days for the project are 570, with an estimated completion in December 2015.

Motorists and other travelers should expect nighttime lane closures along Palm Coast Parkway between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. Monday through Friday.
