City of Palm Coast Offices will Open at City Walk Tuesday
Offices will be closed Monday to facilitate the transition.
Palm Coast, Florida – November 12, 2008 – If you have business at the Palm Coast City Hall, they’ll be greeting you at their brand new location beginning Tuesday, November 18th. City Hall offices will officially move to City Walk at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite B106, as they vacate the current facility at 2 Commerce Blvd. Palm Coast Data, the City’s largest employer, will lease the Commerce Blvd. facility to expand their business and bring 700 new jobs to Palm Coast. The city has a three-year lease on the City Walk Space.
City Hall offices will be closed for business on Monday, November 17th to prepare for a smooth transition for opening on the 18th.
The same City Departments located at the present City Hall will be moving to City Walk, including the City Manager’s office, Personnel Management, City Clerk, Community Development (Building/Code/Permitting/Zoning) Purchasing and Contracting, Engineering and Stormwater, Information Technology, Finance and Business Tax Receipts. Telephone numbers will also remain the same. Business hours continue to be 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. To view a map of the route from the former to the new City offices, log onto the City of Palm Coast website
City is obviously the primary tenant
The City walk looks more like the ghost town walk, as the many store fronts are empty. The biggest problem they have is the way they built tight to the roadway. You can’t see anything until you drive in, and then it’s devoid of business except for a few. The city rent must feel like a government bailout. At least a lot of it will come back in real property taxes.
