City of Palm Coast Approves SuperTarget, Carrabba’s Restaurant and Fairfield Inn

Yes, they really are coming

February 28, 2007 – Today, the city approved the final plans for the SuperTarget Store planned for the retail super center portion of the Town Center at Palm Coast. This parcel is located east of Belle Terre on SR 100. At the same meeting, the city gave plan approval for a Marriott Fairfield Inn just south of the Microtel on Old Kings Road. The Fairfield Inn will include a Carrabba’s Restaurant. Work should begin in these projects as soon as permits are let.

This is welcome news for the flagging residential real estate market. It’s also good news to those trying to attract clean industry to the area. One of Palm Coast’s weaknesses as viewed by potential company location staff is the lack of sufficient quality restaurants and shopping.

Update – May 31, 2007 – Target has broken ground and plans a March ’08 opening.
