Building Permit for Publix at Roberts Road is Issued

Construction of new Publix coincides with Roberts Road extension

Palm Coast, Florida – October 15, 2008 – Flagler County, which handles the building permitting process for Flagler Beach has issued a building permit to NAP Beach Village LLC for a shopping center on the northwest corner of Roberts Road at State Rd 100. The center, named Beach Village, will be anchored by a Publix grocery store flanked on either side by 7 commercial spaces.
 
Contractor for Beach Village is Keene Construction Company from Maitland, FL. The stated value of the project for computation of permitting and impact fees is $4,469,000 for 45,600 square feet of space. Transportation impact fees of $102,594.07 have been paid. By the time construction is completed, the Roberts Road extension will be done, allowing Publix customers access via Colbert Lane without having to enter State Road 100. Roberts Road currently deadends at the Sea Ray boat manufacturing plant.
 
Additional land behind the shopping center with access to Colbert Lane is permitted for multifamily (apartments or condominiums). This parcel is within Palm Coast. There is no current permitting activity on this portion of the project.
 
The CVS Pharmacy across SR 100 on the southeast corner is nearing completion.
