New store rumored to be near SuperTarget store.
November 26, 2007 – Palm Coast, FL – Books-A-Million has negotiated a lease for space near the soon to be opened SuperTarget store located northeast of the intersection of Belle Terre and SR 100. The site, Palm Coast Landing at Town Center is the portion of Town Center designated for major (big box) retailers.
Palm Coast Landing at Town Center is being developed by Weingarten Realty Investors (NYSE: WRI). It consists of 5 separate pads, totaling 395,003 square feet of space. If Books-A-Million does choose this location, they will be joining SuperTarget, T.J. Max, and Ross Dress for Less. Linens ‘N Things has withdrawn plans to come to Town Center.
A combined Grand Opening is scheduled for late July.
The nearest existing Books-A-Million is at 90 North Nova Road in Daytona Beach.
Books-A-Million a great addition
While I personally would have preferred a Barnes and Noble, Palm Coast needs a good book store.
It doesn’t make sense to have to go to Daytona Beach to get books and magazines, other than the trash, usually carried on the magazine racks of the local merchants.
That’s why I have been buying all my books on line for years.
A Million Cheers!
Thank Goodness we can now stop all the traveling to St A. or Daytona just to get a good read, or have a nice cup of java and read! I can\\’t wait! JJ
???
Why do we continue to get stores that are in Daytona or St Augustine? I can deal with the 20 minute drive.
We need to attract the ones that we have to drive to Jacksonville or Orlando to shop at!
Duh
The stores in Orlando and Jacksonville are there for a reason…they are attracted by the -millions- of potential customers.
PC is a small town compared with them and we’re doing good to get the stores usually destined for Daytona Beach and St. Augustine.
