Admirals’ Cove at Ginn’s Yacht Harbor Village is sinking
An old rumor with a new twist
December 12, 2006 – Several people have told me over past months that Admirals’ Cove, Ginn’s condominium in Yacht Harbor Village was sinking. I didn’t give the story much credibility but recent information makes the rumor very interesting.
I’m told that the building is not sinking – simply a rumor. I’m also told that the rumor was started by a member of the sales staff of a competitor. The impending purchase of Centex Destination Properties by Ginn makes my imagination explode with possible sub rumors.
Ginn Building
Mr. Tobin,
We haven\\’t had the chance to meet yet. I have been with LandMar for about a year now on the development side. I have grown to love your site. It is very informative and helpful. I don\\’t know one detail or fact about the above. I will say that from an Engineer\\’s perspective, a building of this size sinking measurably is highly unlikely. If I ventured a guess, I would say that this likely came from some settlement in the ground floor slab (which is not structural), but for all I know it could be sinking faster than the titanic! Anyway, keep up the good work on the site. I look forward to meeting you some day.

I heard that the bridge across the ICW is leaning to one side (towards Ginn’s Yacht Harbor) and the city is in talks about selling it to Ginn. Ginn is going to raise the toll to 6 bucks each way. Can this be true ???
