Road Construction: Lane closure planned for Palm Coast Parkway beginning July 30

Beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, motorists and other travelers should expect a lane closure along eastbound Palm Coast Parkway beginning at the Palm Coast Ford dealership.

Palm Coast, FL – July 22, 2014 – Beginning at 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, motorists and other travelers should expect a lane closure along eastbound Palm Coast Parkway beginning at the Palm Coast Ford dealership.

The lane closure is required in order for the contractor to install a trench drain from Cypress Point Parkway eastbound to the I-95 Southbound on ramp. Traffic will merge down to two travel lanes. The right turn lane will be open to Cypress Point Parkway.

The outside thru lane will be closed for approximately eight weeks. During the installation, two lanes eastbound and the I-95 southbound on ramp will remain open.

The anticipated lane closure date of July 30 is subject to change. Up-to-date lane closure information will be posted to the Palm Coast Parkway Widening Project website at www.PalmCoastPkwy.com. A project hotline number has been established to assist the public with questions and concerns: 1-800-515-9194.

The City of Palm Coast strives for safe construction zones. Travelers need to be aware of heavy equipment and stay within the limits of the orange cones and barrels.

The City asks for the cooperation and patience of residents as this important road improvement project is completed.

    Palm Coast Parkway

The entire project of expanding Palm Coast parkway, is a Blunder! That along with the BullDog Drive and the south end of Old Kings Road! Palm Coast Pkwy; needs relief; not expansion! The Future of Central Avenue should bt addressed. Central Avenue should be the project of most importance, And IT should NOT be that crooked monstrosity that is on the planning board! THAT along with the “bumps’ in the road! What kind of “Planners’ do we have? Shall we go back to the horse-and-buggy days? New York City; became the great city it is, because of the straight streets! very easy to find your way! Crooked streets in a community; not a problem; crooked streets in business; Grid-lock!
Too much time and money have been wasted, to stop this present experiment. Something has to be done about any future plan!
    i. e.; City Hall!
