Palm Coast Commercial Construction Update: 3-10-2015

Publix building permit and 96 condominiums behind Flagler Plaza at SR 100 and Interstate 95.

Palm Coast, FL – March 10, 2015 – Palm Coast and Flagler County economies continue to march forward with two commercial construction projects – Publix and Flagler Pointe Condominiums – making progress.

A construction permit for a new building for Island Walk’s anchor tenant, Publix, was issued March 6th. Hawkins Construction, of Tarpon Springs, is the general contractor for this 53,785 square foot building. The permit shows a contractor stated job value of $3,227,100. Permitting and associated fees of $52,557.81 have been paid. Branch Properties LLC, of Atlanta, is the property owner.

Sun Glow Construction, of Ormond Beach, has applied for permits to begin construction of the 96 unit Flagler Pointe Condominiums on a 10.2 acre parcel at 250 Flagler Plaza Drive, located behind Flagler Plaza and the Holiday Inn Express. When completed, Flagler Pointe Condominiums will consist of six 2-story buildings, six garage buildings and a 1,713 square foot clubhouse. The Development Order for Flagler Pointe was issued in January.

Sun Glow Construction acquired the Flagler Plaza parcel after Interstate Holdings lost it through foreclosure. Interstate Holdings owner, Bhagwan Asnani, also build City Marketplace (formerly known as City Walk) and the commercial building at 1000 Palm Coast Pkwy SW.
