It Looks Like Palm Coast, FL May be Getting a Best Buy Store

Store will be located at SR100 and Belle Terre

Location of new Best Buy StoreMay 4, 2008 – Palm Coast, FL – I’ve been told that it is nearly certain that Best Buy will be building a new store on the southeast corner of SR100 and Belle Terre Pkwy, across the street from the new SuperTarget. Developers apparently scrapped earlier plans to build a strip retail plaza on the site. The 12.37-acre property is owned by Irvine, CA based National Recreational Properties. It was purchased in 2002 for $1,550,000.

Best Buy is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. In their most recent quarter, Best Buy reported a profit of $737 million on $13.418 billion in revenue. They have 923 stores including 50 in Florida.
May 30, 2008 – Update – While Best Buy looked at the property on the corner of SR 100 and Belle Terre, they have reportedly chosen parcel 6 in the Target retail center. Parcel 6 is the most easterly parcel, close to the Flagler High School.

    I can’t believe

…that they are not locating on Palm Coast Pkwy and I-95. Good for Best Buy, and good for Palm Coast. I hope that it is true.

    Best Buy?

While I agree that another SuperStore is always good for the local economy, I hope they have deep pockets. Every one is tightening their belts and not spending a dime. The people not tightening, have nothing to spend. It is good to see some jobs finally coming into town.

Best Buy was quite a ways along with a plan to build a store in Town Center near Target, but they changed their minds when the economy turned down. I’m not aware of any current plans for a Palm Coast Best Buy.

I thought Palm Toast was a retirement community. If we get all these chain stores here, there will be more deadly accidents with the centurions out shopping. Most everything can be ordered on-line and delivered within 24 hours.
