June 22, 2007 – Palm Coast, Florida – A news item posted June 15th in The Florida Times-Union disclosed a new deal between Ginn Sports Entertainment, a division of Ginn Resorts, and the PGA Tour. On June 14th, The PGA Tour announced The Ginn Classic at Tesoro. Located in Port St. Lucie, Florida, Tesoro is a Ginn Resorts property featuring an Arnold Palmer designed golf course. The event is scheduled as part of the Tour’s Fall series to be played on October 25 – 28. The deal will have the event rotate over the next five years among Ginn Resort properties. There will soon be three Ginn Resorts championship golf course properties in the Palm Coast, Flagler County area that would receive consideration for future year’s play.

- The Gardens at Hammock Beach (Fred Couples design)
Ginn Sports already has one PGA Champions Tour event booked for Palm Coast – The Ginn Tournament, which was played this year and will repeat next year at the Ocean Course.
The opportunity to host another tour event was the result of another developers financial problems. The event was originally to be called the Running Horse Championship to be played at the Running Horse Golf and Country Club in Fresno, California, but the developer filed for bankruptcy. Elon Golf Construction purchased the property but could not complete the course in time for the tournament. Elon plans to continue construction of the course and hopes to host a Tour event in the future.
