Condo Construction to Resume in Grand Haven, Palm Coast
Developers plan to have active construction within the month and three finished models for public viewing by fall.
Palm Coast, FL – May 22, 2015 – Frank Sockman, a Realtor® at Palm West Home Realty, yesterday announced that permits have been released to finish partially constructed condominium buildings in the gated community of Grand Haven. The newly named Vista Par Condominiums, are located next to the Grand Haven Golf Club in Palm Coast, FL. Construction had been halted in 2007.
“Construction on these condos will start immediately now that all permitting is complete” Said Sockman. “We have all been diligently working as a team to bring this exciting upscale condominium project to this point since Layaya Properties ll purchased the property in 2013,” he added.
Whitehall Homes, the original developer, stopped work on the project in 2007 when the real estate bubble burst. Four buildings had been completed earlier. These units, known as Riverview Condominiums, are on the south side of the golf clubhouse parking lot abutting the practice facility and first hole of the Jack Nicklaus signature golf course. The two partially built buildings were part of four buildings planned for the second phase. Whitehall Homes at Grand Haven defaulted on a $6,400,000 loan from Bankatlantic.
This project was brought together by Sockman , Brett Roark, Manager of Jacksonville-based Lavaya Properties ll, Eddie Muse, architect and principal of DSI Design of Longwood, and Alan Cottrill of River City Design and Building of Jacksonville.
There are two buildings, partially completed by Whitehall. Each will have 12 upscale condominiums with three floor plans available, including both three bedroom/three bath, and three bedroom/two bath floor plans, ranging from 1,762 square feet to 2,167 square feet of living area. Each condominium unit will have a designated two car garage. Residents can enjoy all the amenities of the established gated Grand Haven community with the maintenance-free lifestyle of condominium living.
These condominiums have views of the 10th and 18th fairways of the Nicklaus course and views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Grand Haven amenities which include the Grand Haven golf club (membership optional), two village centers, tennis, swimming pools and spas, croquet and miles of walking trails are all nearby.
Mr. Roark, Muse, Cottrill, and Sockman plan to have active construction within the month with three finished models for public viewing by the fall of 2015. Individual pricing will be released next week, but they are expected to range between $235,000 and $450,000.
