Beach Village Apartment Renters Can Begin Moving In

89 of Beach Villages 106 apartments are income restricted, designed for ”workforce housing” at favorable rental rates.

Palm Coast, FL – August 28, 2010Beach Village Apartments received its Certificate of Occupancy August 27th. This means that renters who have already been signed and qualified can begin to move in. 89 of Beach Villages 106 apartments are income restricted, designed for "workforce housing" at favorable rental rates. In return for this set aside, the developer and investors receive a substantial tax credit. Hence, the term "tax credit community."
To qualify for one of the reduced rate apartments, the combined income of the unit’s occupants must not exceed 60% of the median annual income in Flagler County. Renters are qualified initially and must re-qualify each year.

The apartment complex offers a surprising array of features; gated access, a putting green, gym, swimming pool, car care center, a business computer center, and free WiFi in community areas. Each apartment home features granite countertops, an above oven microwave, ceramic tile, crown molding, and a vented closet system. Units are wired for high speed internet and discounted cable TV is available.
Additionally, Beach Village boasts green features; Energy Star rated appliances, programmable thermostats, double-pane windows, and ceiling fans in all rooms. Garages or carports are optionally available with some units.
Beach Village Apartments are located next to the Beach Village Publix shopping center on Hwy 100 only a mile west of Flagler Beach. The three-building complex offers five different floor plans beginning with a one-bedroom option for $560 per month for income qualified renters. Two, three, and four bedroom models are also available with monthly rentals ranging up to $814. Community Director Gina Sharpe says about half of the 106 apartment homes are already spoken for including all the one-bedroom units and most of the two-bedroom units.
The property was acquired last December by Beach Village at Palm Cost LTD from Florida Landmark Properties, Inc. (Palm Coast Holdings) for $1,615,400. Construction began in March. The total construction value assigned to the building permits exceeds $8.3 million. Impact fees paid to the City of Palm Coast total $480,217.

    Nice outlook on life. Take a good news story and turn it into a way to complain. If it had been a high end community, you would have complained about the elitism of the community. You must be a joy of a person to spend time with.
