WCI Rumor about Unpaid Bills is NOT True

February 4, 2008 – Palm Coast, FL – Yesterday, I posted a rumor that WCI had stopped paying its association bills at Hammock Dunes. This story came from a previously reliable source but turns out to be untrue. I spoke with Fred Annon, the property manager today. He assured me that the propane was turned off for only a portion of one day. He explained that bills are sent to the property manager, who notifies WCI. WCI then sends funds to the property manager who, in turn pays the bills on behalf of the association. Mr. Annon stated that as of February 4th, all bills are funded and that any mention of a balance of $50,000 was unfounded.
