Walmart Plans Liquor Store Addition to Palm Coast Store
They did their ABCs and determined that Palm Coast was an underserved liquor market. This $1,220,000 addition to the present store’s east side will be 4,858 square feet.
Palm Coast, FL – March 24, 2015 – Walmart Stores has obtained a site development plan and commercial building permit to add a liquor store to the east side of its present Palm Coast store at 174 Cypress Point Pkwy. The completed liquor store addition will be 4,858 square feet.

HGR Construction of Winter Park is the general contractor. The contractor’s Stated Job Value of the project is $1,220,000. Walmart has paid impact fees and other Building Department related fees totaling $57,589.51. Transportation impact fees made up $44,228.75 of the total.
Walmart does not undertake such significant projects without a thorough market analysis; in this case “doing their ABCs.” We must conclude that they determined that Palm Coast residents who purchase liquor for non-commercial use represent an underserved market.
