Talk About Town: Carrabba’s Italian Grill Coming to Palm Coast, Panera Final Site Plan Submitted

Carrabba’s was first rumored to be coming to Palm Coast in early 2007. This time, they intend to build in Cobblestone Village next to the Medical Facility and across from Golden Corral.

Palm Coast, FL – September 29, 2011 – Outback Steakhouse, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, and Panera Bread have come to Palm Coast in recent years. Rumors of Carrabba’s Italian Grill have been heard since 2007. Now it’s true. Carrabba’s Italian Grill intends to build their Palm Coast restaurant in Cobblestone Village, next to a new medical building (where site work is underway), and across from Golden Corral.
Carrabba’s is part of OSI Restaurant Partners LLC, which is headquartered in Tampa, FL. OSI’s portfolio of brands consists of Outback Steakhouse units throughout the U.S., as well as Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine. They are now one of the largest casual dining restaurant companies in the world. They operate in 49 states and their Outback Steakhouse restaurants are also open in 24 countries around the world.
Panera Bread submitted their site plan to Palm Coast planners at the end of August. The final plan has now been submitted for approval. Construction is expected to commence soon at the SR 100 location next to the Hilton Garden Inn in Town Center.

Yea!!!! Finally,we get a chain that has consistantly good food. I’m so happy! I just hope that they can train their personnel as well here as they have in other locations.

    Hooray!

So glad to hear that Carrabas will come to the ‘older’ section of Palm Coast to join our other great restaurants along Palm Coast Parkway. We are fortunate that we will no longer have to travel to St Augustine for Carrabas or to Ormond Beach for Olive Garden. Good job City.

    Carrabba’s Italian Grill Coming

Any chance of luring a good family run Italian or Continenatal food type restaurant or maybe even a good diner into Palm Coast – chains are chains.

On Carrabba’s coming to Palm Coast

Now if we could only get a BoneFish in Palm Coast my eating life would be complete!! At least it would save me the trip to Ormond. Congrats to us all, our beautiful town in growing in the right direction 🙂

First they have to complete the purchase of the land. Next, they will have to submit a site and building plans to the city for review prior to the issue of a building permit. This will take some time, although the city planning department may have already worked out some of the planning details in advance of application. I doubt that they will be waiting for any other reasons.

You should try a new restaurant in town; the Tuscan Grille, 2926 S. Oceanshore Blvd in Flagler Beach. Shirley and I ate there last night with friends who are ‘Italian food critics.’ The food and service were great.

They are in the building that was once a DMV drivers licensing office (when we arrived here almost 12 years ago).
