January 31, 2019 – The City of Palm Coast’s stormwater drainage system was built by ITT in the 1970s and ‘80s, when the population was one-tenth of its current size. Now, after years of growth, an aging infrastructure and two hurricanes that put a spotlight on drainage issues, the City is embarking on an enhanced, comprehensive stormwater management plan to improve drainage system-wide.
January 30, 2019 – Consumer sentiment among Floridians fell three-tenths of a point to 97.8 in January from a revised figure of 98.1 in December. It's down 3.5 points year-to-year.

December 29, 2018 — In a critical win for buyers and sellers of property requiring flood insurance during the partial government shutdown, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will issue and renew flood insurance policies, reversing an unexpected and controversial ruling the agency released earlier this week. The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) was instrumental in convincing FEMA to reverse course.

The number of U.S. single-family homes sold in 2018 has been less than the number sold in 2017 in all but one of the past seven months. November 26, 2018 — December 15 is official “PALM COAST HOLIDAY BOAT PARADE DAY,” as declared by Mayoral Proclamation by Palm Coast Mayor Milissa Holland. Mayor Holland made the proclamation at a City Hall ceremony on November 20.

October 31, 2018 – Thirty percent of Flagler County’s population is age 65 or older (as of July 1, 2017 per U.S. Census Bureau), up from only 24.6 percent in 2010. The median age grew from 47.7 years to 51.6 years over the same period. The U.S. Census report puts Flagler County’s population among the oldest in the country.
