Palm Coast Resort &Condominiums

For those of us who came to Palm Coast before 2005, the first overnight was often spent at the Palm Coast Resort and Marina, located along the Intracoastal Waterway at the east end of Palm Coast. This is where the developer offered a subsidized stay while we toured the area with a developer representative. The resort was also a familiar and popular spot to eat and socialized. Many Palm Coast residents frequented Henry's with friends and visitors.

Centex Destination Properties acquired the property and demolished the aging structrue in August 2005 to make room for an ambitious condo/condo hotel complex with three Resort Condo buildings <Building Elevation>    <Floor Plans>   , a 207 unit Condo Hotel, a covered parking garage, and a marina. The hotel will offer 47,000 square feet of meeting space plus restaurants. The currnet marina will be renovated with a new Ship's Store and fuel tanks. When completed, the project is estimated to create 300 jobs and  more than $70 million in city and county tax revenue over the next 20 years.

March 2007 update - Centex Destination Properties has suspended the project, withdrawing the building permits for the last two condominium buildings and the resort condo/hotel. They also suspended plans to redevelop the Palm Harbor Golf Course. For more details, see the following stories:
