Shoppes at Grand Haven

May 15, 2007 - The Shoppes at Grand Haven has passed the final procedural hurdle by gaining approval from the St. Johns Water Management District. The developer, River City Homes, is now accepting contracts. The complex will consist of 60,000 square feet for retail, restaurant, and office space located on Colbert Lane, directly across from the main entrance gate to Grand Haven. Spaces are available starting from 1,400 square feet. The design lends itself to a customer friendly environment and businesses more upscale than average. River City stated that they have already had serious discussions with  an upscale Italian deli, a dry cleaner, a real estate firm, an old fashioned ice cream parlor, a small boutique grocery, a chocolate shop, and a bicycle shop. They would also like to see a small bank and an upscale restaurant. Construction is likely to begin this summer.
